There has been plenty of change at Fulham this season and it's not just the Michael Jackson statue that's gone from Cravendale Cottage. With the recall of Governer Meulensteen last week, bottom of the league Fulham look to be in all sorts of trouble. Needing a steady man at the helm, the board have decided to employ Felix Magarth as the new Governer, probably off the logic that history has taught us that a German is usually the best nationality of person you want to lead in crisis.
However from this first outing, Governer Magarth will need to work miracles in order to save this club from sinking faster than the Bismarck as the Wild Bull Association dominated both possession and shot count.
Fulham did take the lead through the All-American hero Ashkan Dejagah early in the first half which would surely please the owners, but that only encouraged the Watford Blackbird Athletes, who in turn rolled up their baggy trousers and pushed for an equaliser. They were rewarded when Fulham's Dutch keeper Stekelenburg had a momentary lapse of concentration, probably caused by a flashback of one of his ancestors watching his bicycle being confiscated by a German officer, allowed the ball to cross his goal line just a few minutes from the end.
